Now more than ever, there is a lot that has been impacting how we feel on a day-to-day basis. It’s important to know that that’s OK! At 437, we strive to help lift our community up, and offer support where we can. Seriously, prioritizing your own mental and physical wellbeing can make a world of a difference when it comes to taking on the rest of your day.
That’s why in today’s blog, we wanted to share with you some of our favourite ways to renew our mindset to bring in as much positivity into your day as possible.
Make Time For Movement

When it comes to exercise, it is so important to do what makes YOU feel good and will give your mind the most clarity. There are so many different ways to incorporate movement into your day, whether that’s a walk around your neighbourhood, doing a yoga flow, or even a quick HIIT session. Whatever it is, taking even 10 minutes of your day to get your body moving will dedicate time for you to focus solely on yourself, and will undoubtedly help you clear your mind.
Some of our fav at-home workouts are created by Danyele Wilson, and Melissa Wood.
Take a Moment to Breathe - Intentionally.

When feeling anxious, one of the easiest things to do to recenter yourself is intentional breathing. This means taking a quick pause from your daily activities, and doing a few rounds of controlled, deep breaths. To take this a step further, we love doing a quick guided meditation. This is an ultra-relaxing way of taking your mind off of any stresses you might be feeling. Find one of our favourite guided meditations here.
Know Your Limits When it Comes to Social Media

Social media during these times can be super informative and educational, but also overwhelming. With so much going on, it’s no wonder this can have an impact on your mindset! If this is something you struggle with, it can be helpful to dedicate a certain block of time in your day for staying up-to-date on social media, and leaving the rest of the day for yourself. In addition to this, even taking a break from social media altogether for a couple days can provide you with the ultimate reboot you’ve been needing.
Practice Gratitude

Believe us, practicing gratitude can totally change your perspective and enhance your positive thinking. One of our favourite ways of practicing gratitude is to write down a few things we are grateful for every morning on a sticky note or in a journal. Even better, if you make this a daily habit, it can be incredibly rewarding to look back at!
Fill Your Feed With Helpful Resources
Continuing on the topic of social media, it can be incredibly helpful to take a look at who you follow and seek out accounts that will make your feed a more positive and inspiring space to scroll through.
Recently, we have been loving the following accounts to stay informed, optimistic, or to use as a resource for wellbeing:
- @cleowade: Cleo’s instagram is filled with art, poetry, and resources aimed at promoting spirituality, health, and wellbeing.
- @omnoire: a social and wellness community for BIPOC women
- @activismandstuff: an informative activism account dedicated to spreading love, acceptance and awareness through graphics, art, and fun memes
There you have it, 5 of our favourite ways to refresh our mindsets for maximum positivity and clear thinking! We hope you enjoyed these tips, and we would love to hear if you try any of these tips by letting us know on instagram @437. Until next time, babes! xx
