437 creates flattering, performance-driven pieces that honor the feminine form.
We approach activewear the way one approaches design: with shape in mind.
437 was born in 2016, when best friends Hyla Nayeri and Adrien Bettio found themselves searching for swimwear that truly flattered their bodies, and came up empty-handed. Recognizing a gap in the market, they decided to create something better. With their personal savings and no outside investment, they launched 437 from their university house at 437 Johnson Avenue, all while finishing their final year of school.
From the very beginning, 437 has been about designs that celebrate the body: effortless to wear yet intentional in their fit. What started as swimwear naturally expanded into activewear and lifestyle collections; each new category guided by the same principles. Our pieces have been spotted on Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Megan Thee Stallion, Sydney Sweeney, Alix Earle, Millie Bobby Brown and many more.
A philosophy of design where shape, balance, and composition blur the lines between daily function and effortless elegance.
Today, 437 is powered by a small, all-women team in Toronto. Every piece carries the brand’s signature blend of confidence, elegance, and ease, meant to be lived in, loved, and worn with intention. This is activewear designed to transcend the category’s usual visual codes and clichés, forming its own unique silhouettes.
For us, 437 pieces should present themselves as both form and fashion, pose and pattern, easy and elegant; seamless with the rest of an artful, edited wardrobe. Our muse is the female form itself. As we craft each collection, we strive to complement it, leaning into the shapes and styles that truly flatter and celebrate it. Wherever you go, it moves with you.
